SETT, operated by Foundry Labs LLC, is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a physician, physical therapist, or qualified coach.
Talk to a doctor before starting any training program, especially if you have a pre-existing condition, a current injury, or you're pregnant. A new lifting program is a real change in stress on your body, even if you're already active in other ways.
All training carries some risk of injury. That risk is real, and by using SETT, you accept that you train at your own risk.
SETT's coaching, meaning the weights, reps, and progressions it suggests, is calculated from your own logged data. Those numbers are suggestions, not prescriptions. You are always the one who decides what your body can safely handle on a given day, not the app. If a suggested load feels wrong, don't do it.
Pain is not the same as effort. Effort is expected in training; pain usually isn't. If you feel pain, dizziness, or anything that feels wrong, stop the set and get medical attention. Don't push through it because the app told you to.
What SETT shows about your progress, plateaus, or projected outcomes reflects patterns in your own logged history, not a guarantee about your body or your outcomes.
This is a plain-language safety notice, not a complete legal document. A full Terms of Service, reviewed by an attorney, will expand on this before SETT is available to the general public. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
